Step 1: Upload PST to Azure AzCopy Tool
- First of all, go to the link https://protection.office.com/ and sign in to your Microsoft Account.
- Now, go to the Security and Compliance Center and then choose Data Governance. Click on the Import button.
- In the Import window, click on the New Import Job.
- Here, click on the show Network Upload SAS URL and then copy that URL.
- Now, choose the Upload option and click on the Azure AzCopy Tool to download it.
- Now, launch the Azure AzCopy tool and install it.
- Now, open Command Prompt and type
- AzCopy.exe /Source:<Location of PST files> /Dest:<SAS URL> /V:<Log file location> /Y
Step 2: Create PST Import Mapping File
As soon as the PST file is uploaded to Azure AzCopy Software, create a CSV file that will contain information of the mailbox to which it will be uploaded.
Step 3: Create PST Import Job
- In the import data page, check “I am done uploading my files” and “I have access to the mapping file” box and then press the Next button.
- In the next page, select the mapping file that you have created earlier in the format CSV.
- Click on the Validate button to check for any error. After confirmation, click on the Save button and then click on the Close button.
Step 4: Start the PST Import job for Outlook Web Access(OWA)
- Go to the Security & Compliance Center and then click on the Import PST file page.
- Press the Ready to import to Office 365 link.
- Now a flyout page will be opened “Filter your data” before importing.
- Filter the data accordingly and then press the Next button.
- Now, click on the Import data to start importing your files.
- The data will soon be imported to Outlook Web Access(OWA).
Automatic approach to import PST to Outlook Web Access(OWA)
