How to Switch from Outlook Working Offline to Online

Offline Storage Table or OST file is Microsoft Data file. It is used to store offline synchronized mailbox information. Various accounts like Exchange account, IMAP account, Microsoft 365 account, Outlook.com account use Outlook Data Files.

1. Launch Microsoft Outlook.
2. Click on the Send/Receive tab and then press the Work Offline button to reconnect.

Note:

• If you are disconnected from Microsoft Outlook and the internet connection is working, then there must be a problem with the mail server.
• If there is no problem with sending and receiving mail on the website, then there might be no problem with the mail server. Instead, your system would be in need of updates.

• Again go to the Send/Receive tab and then press Work Offline. Now check the status.
• Open the Office application and then go to the File menu and then click on the Account button. Now Product Information is shown. Click on the Office Updates under it.
• It might be possible that your current Outlook profile is faulty. First of all, delete the old profile by going to the File menu and then to Account Settings. Again click on the Account Settings and then choose the profile and press the Remove button. You can then click on the New button and create a new profile.
