10. Then type gmail.com in the Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) server field.
11. Now enter gmail.com under the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
12. Click Next.
13. Under Account name, type your full Gmail address.
14. Then enter your Gmail password in the Password field.
15. Click Next >> Finish.
16. Now you have to highlight gmail.com in the Internet Accounts window.
17. Click on the Properties >> Servers tab
18. Keep in mind that my server requires authentication under the Outgoing Mail Server.
19. After that, go to the Advanced.
20. Make sure that This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked under both Outgoing Mail (SMTP) and Incoming Mail (IMAP).
21. You have to type “465” under Outgoing server (SMTP). Click OK.
22. Now, click Close in the Internet Accounts.
23. Then, click Yes to download the list of Gmail folders to Outlook. Click OK.

By performing all these steps, you will access all Gmail folders. IMAP also lets you label messages or mark them as spam too.

Access Gmail with Outlook Using POP

Follow the below-mentioned steps to access Gmail email with MS Outlook.

1. Firstly, make sure POP access is turned on for your Gmail account.
2. Then select Tools >> Accounts from the menu in MS Outlook.
3. Click on the Add button >> Mail.
4. After that, type your name under Display name.
5. Click on the Next
6. Now, enter your Gmail address under the Email address. Click Next.
7. You need to ensure that POP3 is selected under My incoming mail server is a __ server.
8. Then type gmail.com under Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server.
9. Under the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server, enter gmail.com. Click Next.
10. Now, type your full Gmail address under the Account name.
11. Under Password, enter your Gmail password. Click Next.
12. Click on the Finish
13. Now, highlight the newly createdgmail.com account.
14. Click on the Properties tab >> Go to the Servers.
15. Keep in mind that my server requires authentication under the Outgoing Mail Server.
16. Then go to the Advanced.
17. Do not forget to check This server requires a secure connection (SSL) under both Outgoing Mail (SMTP) and Incoming Mail (POP3).
18. You have to type “465” under Outgoing server (SMTP). Click OK.
19. Finally, click on the Close.

Microsoft Outlook will retrieve the Mail you get at your Gmail address and messages you have sent from the Gmail web interface.
